The GAZ-AA, commonly known as "Polutorka", is one of the most famous and mass-produced trucks of the Soviet Union. The nickname "Polutorka" originates from its 1.5-ton load capacity. The truck was developed at the Gorky Automobile Plant (GAZ) in the early 1930s and was a licensed copy of the American Ford Model AA truck.
